Film trailer: Pre-production Script

1) Script:
                        The Unexpected Demise:
(working title)

Anisa Pall

Synopsis: establish setting first and show the house with a voice over or dramatic music.

1st) EXT HOUSE-MIDDAY: Different audio sounds with both characters.

2nd) INT HOUSE-MIDDAY: 
The house will be shown to the character that is buying the house (Nyrah).
She will be thinking to buy this house and gets a discount as it had a previous couple living there who died.

3rd)(Non-believer)
The second character(Aria) advises her not to Nyrah still does.

 Estate Agent gives her advice and She buys the house.

 Nyrah asks her friend to come and stay over and help her renovate the house and keep her company.

 INT HOUSE-EVENING:

 4th)Aria comes to overstay
they start finding things from the couple that lived there before. They find a photo and chuck it away.

5th)After this 
 both start witnessing weird changes within the house like knocking on doors and windows.

 strange shadows, things start to disappear, random locks trapping the characters.

6th)This torments the character of Nyrah as she becomes obsessed with Aria does not allow her to leave almost as if the spirit becomes to dominate her.

7th)(MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT) Nyrah's character sleepwalks whilst friend is sleeping with her and her banket comes off by itself and Nyrah does not remember anything after. 

 She struggles with being alone in the house.

 NYRAH: "where am I", "What is happening"

 ARIA: "Your fine" Nothing is happening"

8th)EXT: Aria(Trying to open the door)but suddenly door shuts and she cannot get in the house.
(Cries and shouts)

 ARIA:
"Help Help!"
(faints)
Hands on her head and eyes closed

9th)INT: Nyrah is stable and brings her back in Aria feels scared like nothing is normal they go to rest and noises are heard again.

 Go to the window and see nothing is there look back and the door is creaking and whispers are heard both looks at each other.

 see hand sliding down the window.

 Both are shocked and run to another room breathing deeply. 

 when lights are turned off something can be seen but when on there is nothing.

 Aria and Nyrah both terrified and begin to see something moving in the side of the room and see blood dripping on to the photo they chucked away.

 scream and go out the room trailer is fast-paced at this point and their faces are very dull and are extremely scared.

 open the cupboard to hide and estate agents body falls out 

 Close up of both their faces.

 The End.

‘Coursework draft tutorial feedback and learner response’.

Anisa Statement of Intent second draft: ·          Very solid Statement of Intent that covers the majority of areas required. ·          I think you could add to representation in terms of ethnicity as well as gender (and add some more theory – Butler, Gilroy etc.?) ·          Add an industry context – funding, distribution, digital promotion etc. Trailer rough cut comments: ·          Lots of potential here with some nice jump scares – the fast paced section in the middle is exactly what we’re looking for. ·          You’re missing loads of easy trailer conventions (most text on screen) that will immediately give it more of a trailer feel. ·          Add some dialogue at the start to explain the narrative (estate agent speak...
