Poster analysis

The Blade Runner:

I think that this film is about a battle between people striving for something and trying to achieve a certain aspiration. I believe that this film is a film noir as from the cover we can see that a women is holding a cigarette which gives us this aspect that it could be from the 1950's. Also the tagline of this film suggests to us that this film must be a classic science fiction narrative and we also see this from the lighting and machinery this film may also include some elements of violence.

Scary movie 2:

This movie shows us that it is a classic horror which could mean that this is advertising the classic horror's from the past as the people on the cover are wearing different t-shirts to portray this and the Genre of this film could be a parody of horror. Furthermore the review quote ''Absolutely  Hilarious'' which also gives us the idea that its a comedy related film. The Target audience for this film are adults as it also has a modern tagline.

Im Not Scared:

I believe that this film may be about a adventure with the boy on the cover as it looks like he is finding something looking down into a hole. However the Bold font of the title could also mean that this film has elements of horror in it and looks as if it has some sort of dark story line as it is made to look very sinister. I would say that this film is mainly targeted at adults because it is more of mysterious looking film and the contrast between the title 'im not scared' and the boy could suggest that this is a ominous film.

Uzak:

I think that this film may be a war related film as from the cover it has dim lighting its dull and the wasteland also brings out this idea. Furthermore there is a person standing who is hidden which could also mean that this is a human drama related film. This film could be targeted at adults as it is more of a documentary related film.

Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's chest:

This film may be about a battle between pirates to find and reach out for something and could mean that this film is a action, adventure and fantasy related film as there is a person with a octopus face which suggests that there are mythical creatures in this film. This film could mostly be targeted at teens as it is a action film.

Sin City:

I think that this film may be a crime related film as the cover presents people holding weapons and this could suggest that this a film thriller and a gangster film which could mean that it is filled with action and drama. I think that this film is mainly targeted at adults and as it seems to be a violent film with more adult related themes.

Bride and prejudice:

i think that this movie is about love and marriage as characters that are on the right side are throwing confetti, which signifies weddings and this film could also be a drama and musical related film as the main characters that are displayed look to appear very cheerful. The tagline of this film also gives away the genre of this film that it may be a comedy related film that is targeted at adults.

Million Dollar baby:

i think that this film may be related to sports and a action film that could be based on the women's  life story which could mean that the genre of this film is sports and drama related film i believe that this film could be targeted at adults as it seems to be a action related film.

Anisa Statement of Intent second draft: ·          Very solid Statement of Intent that covers the majority of areas required. ·          I think you could add to representation in terms of ethnicity as well as gender (and add some more theory – Butler, Gilroy etc.?) ·          Add an industry context – funding, distribution, digital promotion etc. Trailer rough cut comments: ·          Lots of potential here with some nice jump scares – the fast paced section in the middle is exactly what we’re looking for. ·          You’re missing loads of easy trailer conventions (most text on screen) that will immediately give it more of a trailer feel. ·          Add some dialogue at the start to explain the narrative (estate agent speak...
