1)C omments from teacher: Good opening shot and i think the audio works really well. The major issue is pace and transitions this would be more effective at one minute or so. More pace would add a lot. In terms of transitions, always use straight cuts unless there is a very specific reason to use a wipe / dissolve etc. Table tennis could have been great for match on action and shot reverse shot! For this task I have chosen a scene from 'The good the bad and ugly' as it seems to be a well edited scene that runs for quite a long time and holds many expectations for the audience and fulfils this by building up the scene with various shots and scenes and the sound also contributes towards this. There is definitely a reason that the characters become involved in civil war beyond being able to include a brilliant battle scene. If there is a message to the film i believe it is: How a person acts in war is a true test of how good or bad a person they are. In this version of the west every character is greedy and has shady motives but war highlights their true level of morality. As this scene begins we are shown the three characters who are in middle of a cemetery which is shown twice and the first shots is a medium close up of one of the characters looking around and their position is reestablished. Feedback: WWW: Very scenic and nice location and the music fits in with it. Good use of focus pull. good shots and very accurate.  good use of cinematography. effective way of shots matched well with the setting. the shots were clear. accurate examples of some shots . EBI: The close up wasn't accurate. check labelling of some shots as the shot of the eye was a extreme close up. Needed few more shots as close up lasted too long. Discussion points : Chiron is presented in a reluctant way to tell the audience he is a character who is having a hard time and finds it hard to open up because of what is going on with his family this makes the audience want to identify with his character. Furthermore his character is presented in three stages of his life showing how he has coped with everything and the other characters help Chiron by talking to him slowly with very small amounts of speech used but we also later realise that him as black he has later identified with Juan and later recreates his character. He doesn't make eye contact because he is conveyed through his vulnerable and shy character so the audience feels sympathetic towards him. 1)This opening scene uses cinematography in various ways to make the scene interesting for the audience.  This scene begins with showing a establishing shot to the audience to ,let them know the setting and what the weather is like and then we see the characters and we see a boy putting down a boat and it there is a close up shot shown regarding this stating that there must be a narrative behind this. Furthermore we see a side angle shot of the character and mentions to the little boy to be careful and this heightens the drama across this scene. Furthermore as the scene proceeds and we are shown a high angle shot and the boy continuously  running after this boat and a low angle shot as the boat travels through the puddles. My Three favourite films: Click: One of my favourite films that i saw in media awards was click and i found it interesting of how the action the suitcase and everything was built upon that as it was the main element of this film and was highly focused on it. Furthermore the suitcase also acted as the macguffin which made it even more intriguing for the audience. I also liked the use of action within this film as as it built up tension for the audience and the use of sound was also very effective. This film seems to be a art house film and seems to be aimed at teens and adults. The props were used quite effectively in this film there were also various types of shots that were seen as there were long shots and short shots used and the settings were also very different and there were certain types of lighting used such as low key which added to the enigma. In this video we have created a sound video which has elements of parallel and contrapuntal as some bits within this video don't match the pictures within it and some do and the music would be very different to also within this video. Furthermore there is also non diagetic sound that it used as a sound track has been aimed to fit in with the video. This will all contribute to how the audience interpret the video and whether they appreciate it or not.

Funny Games: 1) The music suggests that the family is quite high class and formal because they are listening to classical music and playing games. 2) The use of music is diagetic and parallel as it goes with the sort of family they are. 3)I think that the narrative will develop as there might be some sort of danger when they reach their destination as the music played towards the ending of the scene seems quite serious. A Clockwork orange: 1)This scene uses classical music which doesn't go with the scene as it is non diagetic and contrapuntal as we are unable to associate it with the scene. 2)The action in this scene is slow so it could be adding to the tension of this particular scene. Time in the west: 1)The sounds within this scene were footsteps, water, fingers clicking, the fly buzzing and the train. 2)The sound bridge was the train as we heard it before we actually saw it which creates a tense atmosphere as we don't know what is going to happen next. Star Persona description: In my video i have used Sukhveen's Brother and turned him into Anakin Skywalker and i have used costume in my video to create a better mood for the audience and the lighting adds to the creativity in my video. As Anakin skywalker is more of a sinister character and we have used lighting to portray this in a special way. Within my video we changed the characters place and added movement to create more tension and make it more interesting for the audience. Furthermore in my video we changed the props to see which one fits best to make it more creative and something that would actually intrigue the audience the different colours of lights add to this and the use of make up and setting makes it more realistic. Within this setting we chose the drama room as it would be better for lighting and easier to film in the spotlight.

The Boy In this scene from the movie The boy we are shown elements of horror,thriller and action which create the mood of this particular scene. There are elements of Mise en scene within this scene for example the lighting in this scene key as it is mainly dim and dark which adds to the mysterious atmosphere and adds to the sinister scene. Firstly we are bought to this scene with a argument over this surreptitious doll and the movement of the characters are bringing in more tension around this doll as there pace picks up and the character in this scene snatches the doll however before this bit we are taken in a flash of a shot to another character close up sitting in the car which awakens by the quarrel between these two characters inside this could be deliberate movement of the characters to imply that there is tension in this scene so that audience can feel empathy with these characters as the doll is smashed and there is a big shock and close ups within these characters

    

From this image we can see a man in front of another man and walking towards the man in front of him the fact that the man's head is close up from the back could be deliberate as it could be adding to the mood and atmosphere of this particular scene and this could adding to the importance to the character in front of him however the scene is also more focused on his head from the back it appears to be more clear this is the signifier in this scene as he is being approached this could be portraying his isolation and we could think that he is about to be interrogated. This scene is full of colour and hard lighting making it appear more sophisticated however there could be more of juxtaposition between the environment and the man that we can only see the back off. I believe that this film is a film noir as from the cover we can see that a women is holding a cigarette which gives us this aspect that it could be from the 1950's. Also the tagline of this film suggests to us that this film must be a classic science fiction narrative and we also see this from the lighting and machinery this film may also include some elements of violence.
